Leonardite Products line of dry products, Source, is available in five grades called Source Natural, Source Crushed, Source Coarse, Source 11 and Source Fines. Source Natural is “raw ore” straight from the mine. It is three inches or smaller and may have 45% moisture content. Source Crushed is raw leonardite that has been crushed. It may have pieces two inches down to fines. It may have 40% moisture content. Source Coarse is a dried and screened leonardite. It is ¼” to plus 11 mesh and is 24-32% moisture. Source Eleven is screened so 99% passes 11 mesh and is dried to 21-26% moisture. Source Fines are 60% 200 mesh and between 6 and 12% moisture.

Directions for Use
The uses and applications for the Source line vary greatly depending on soil conditions, crop and method used to apply the product. Generally speaking, the usage rates for Source Eleven Leonardite are 40-80 pounds per acre when added to bulk blended fertilizer activator, or 50-200 pounds per acre when broadcast, applied straight and then cultivated into the soil. Saline soils may require as much as 500 pounds per acre as a broadcast application, depending on the soil. Some farmers have applied Source Coarse with an air seeder.
