Processing Crew Member

POSITION: Processing Crew Member

A Leonardite Products crew member is involved in processing and packaging Leonardite.

  • Operate forklifts to move Leonardite around facility, on to trucks and railcars.
  • Drive Front end loader from stockpile to drum dryer.
  • Package finished Leonardite and prepare for shipping.
  • Repair equipment as necessary using special skills, if available.
  • Clean equipment, grounds and warehouses as requested.
  • Run drum dryer, screener, conveyors, mixer as needed.
  • Work with Plant Manager and Safety Director to maintain a safe working environment following the guidelines of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Training Requirements:
  • General Safety.
  • Lock-out Tag-out.
  • Forklift Safety.
  • Electrostatic Discharge Awareness.
  • Foreign Object Damage Awareness.
  • Quality System Awareness.
Physical Demands:
  • Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required.
  • Lifting of objects up to 100 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Safety Glasses

  • Steel Toed Boots
Work Environment:
  • Majority of the work is out doors, year-round
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments
  • Currently there are two shifts per day between the hours of 7AM-6PM Mon. – Fri.
  • Weekend, Overtime and On-Call hours are possible, yet are generally predictable
